If congress forces him to withdraw, republicans will call it "appeasement";democrats will call it "redeployment".
If he does it on its own...,but well, he will not do it on his own.

Based on the way the question is phrased, do you believe he should leave them there indefinately? If not, would you use any of those terms "regardless" of when he started to draw down forces in Iraq?

See, here's the problem. You don't get to bash him for not pulling down troop strength while saying we don't have enough troops there, then bash him again if he decides to start pulling out troops...regardless of the reason. If you put someone in a no-win position, what do you expect? If he lets them stay he's a bad leader, if he pulls them out, he's a wimp...if you don't see the hypocracy in your own phrasing, then there is no real reply that could be presented.

The "real" answer is this: if he pulls them down, he'll have to say "something". He could say that it looked like our last best effort won't fix the problem and we have to pull out. Or, he could say that the Iraqi's have met a benchmark of self government or militarization. Or he can say he just got tired of hearing about it. Whatever his reason, it's his decision. We didn't go into Iraq to build a democracy, we went in to depose a dictator that was supporting terrorism, paying the family of suicide bombers compensation, and according to Russian president Putin, was planning on direct attacks on US soil by terrorist cells. Once he was gone, we felt it an obligation to try and help rebuild the country that had failed to depose him themselves. If we succeed, it was worth the effort. If we fail, it was still worth the effort, but we failed. Nation building is difficult, especially when your own people stop supporting you...which only encourages your enemy. C'est la vie.

He has not intention of ever pulling troops out of Iraq. If you caught the news a couple of weeks ago, there was a leak of the NEW US EMBASSY and Military Base in Iraq. There were generated pictures of both released on a US defense web page. They were yanked in a few hours but not before several thousand people copied it. Pretty buildings but it definately shed new light on the current plans in Iraq.

I really doubt that he would even consider withdrawing the troops.
Unfortunately, he is going to do just the opposite of what the majority of the American people want.
He has no regard for the fallen and maimed Soldiers.
He makes me SICK !!!
