Once, this guy kept calling my cell and leaving messages. One time I answered and let him know that he had called me instead of his mother on Mother's Day. We had a grand conversation. I hope he found his mum.

One time this guy called when I said hello he goes how do you like you new grill, and I said where is it ( and the whole time I was heading toward the patio) He said out back on your porch well when I looked there was no grill, and I said I dont see it, then he said who is this and when I told him he started laughing and said I have the wrong number and I said well darn I thought I had a new grill. we were both cracking up.

My son works graveyard shift...sometimes I give him a call to make sure he is awake (he sleeps through his alarm when he is over tired) or to let him know dinner is ready (he lives in the other 1/2 of my duplex). Sometimes I would mis-dial and get this other guy...it happened several times and he was always very pleasant about it, we'd both laugh and I'd apologise and hang up. One night I called and got him, he sounded a lot like my son, and I told him it was time to get up and his dad would drive him to work since it was storming (he bikes to work) not realizing it was the other guy! He answered "Yes Mom...I love you too." And gave a big laugh. He then told me it was nice that there were some parents out there that loves their children like that.

The oddest incoming calls I got were years ago. My husband worked swingshift and this woman called one night about 10 and asked for him. I told her he wasn't there and she just said tell him so and so called. I gave him the message and he could only think of one person by that name and didn't have a number for her. Several nights later the same thing happened. This happened several more times when I finally asked her who she was since my HUSBAND didn't know her. She repeated "husband?" and proceded to tell me she had been dating him for months and had just gone out with him the night before. Well since it had been his night off and I was very pregnant, he had been home with me all night. After telling her this she starts to describe the man she is dating...nothing like my husband. It turned out her boyfriend had the same first name as my husband and his phone number was very very similar to our's (switch the last 2 numbers around). She apologised and assured me she would be more careful dialing in the future. Fast forward a couple of months...hubby is on leave since I had just had the baby...phone rings, he answers, female voice asks for him. She rapidly realises she has done it again. Hubby got a good laugh out of finally talking to his "girlfriend"

Yes! This dude called me by mistake, he said that he liked my voice and we talked for a long time off and on. I then got married and that stopped the phone calls. But he was a nice man though. Wish he would accidently call me again one day so that we could catch up

My sister in law and my mother used to call wrong numbers and see how long they could keep a conversation going for.

It was pretty funny.

I personally would talk to anyone so if someone called me as a wrong number and wanted to chat i'd be willing too.

Uh huh. I picked up the phone and the woman sounded just like my Grandma. Turns out she was calling her Granddaughter, so we kinda didn't think anything was wrong until she called me Angela, which isn't my name. We both laughed over it and were pretty embarrassed. lol
