In the National Football League, the highest official passer rating that a quarterback can achieve is 158.3, which is considered a perfect passer rating. Only 32 "perfect games" have been thrown in NFL history, four of which have occurred in the post-season. The most recent was by Ben Roethlisberger on 9/11/2005 : 9 for 11, 218 yds., 2 TD, 0 INT.
Kurt Warner has done it twice, Peyton Manning four times.

well since people are stupid and answering the question of who has the season record and career record when your asking the single game record, i will answer your question correctly, brett favre had a 158.3 record the game after his dad died and im sure there have been other perfect passer ratings in a single game but i remember hearing about it.

HAHA Edgar, I was at that game when Aaron Rodgers was on fire. It was the most exciting game in the Coliseum during the Carroll era. You could hear the cheering from a mile away. Shows how good you gotta be to try beat USC if they are playing their B game.
