Using m for mother's age, s for son's:

m = s + 21
m+6 = 5(s + 6)

Substitute the first equation into the second:

m+6 = 5(s + 6)
(s+21)+6 = 5s + 30
4s = -3
s = -3/4

The father is currently getting the mother pregnant, since the son won't be born for 9 months.

m = mother
s = son
m = s + 21
m + 6 = 5(s + 6)
s + 21 + 6 = 5s + 30
-4s + 27 = 30
-4s = 3
s = -3/4 = -9 months
The son is currently being conceived, so it is likely the father is currently or has recently had intercourse with the mother.

let S = age of son
let M = age of mother
M = S + 21
6 years later
S +6 = age of son
M + 6 = age of mother
M + 6 = ( S +6 ) 5
S + 21 + 6 = ( S +6 ) 5
S + 27 = 5 S + 30
S = - 3/4 years . . or 9 months
where is the father
the father is 9 months ago have gone before she give birth
