how do i tell if my hymens been torn without going to the gyno? does it hurt or bleed? could there be a chance mines been torn i horseback ride alot, run alot, play soccer, and use tampons. i think it would be so embarassing to have it torn in sex ><

If you can insert your fingers into your vaginal cavity, it has been broken. If it were intact, it would be at your vaginal entrance; you would definitely be able to tell if it were completely intact, but if it's just been stretched a bit, you may have to feel around for the remains.

Since you use tampons and ride horseback, chances are, yours has been torn. You can get a mirror and look. It's a little piece of skin at your vaginal opening. It's nothing to be embarrassed about if it's torn during sex. The hymen isn't going to fall off or anything like that. It can be painful if it's torn during sex, but it shouldn't be embarrassing.

Get a hand mirror and have a look at yourself down there. The hymen (if you still have one) looks like a little wall of really thin pale skin partially covering the bottom of the opening to your vagina. You will be able to see it if it's still there.
