It's free and right now I'm grasping for straws. I found auditions for a disney orignal movie for extras and supporting roles but my parents won't let me....

It's called International Talent Showcase. Has anyone heard of it, had success or know someone that has been in it?

Newyorkgal71- Okay, the talent agency is NOT opening an agency in Syracuse they're scouting for talent in all different places, specifically smaller towns, such as syracuse.

Talent agencies only represent experienced actors.

They do not advertise, because that would attract every kid in town with a dream of stardom.

Agencies in every single town are buried in mail from actors, sending in their headshots and resumes. They have no need to advertise.

If you want to check it out for yourself, go ahead. But do not pay them any money.

When an "agency" asks for money up front
(which is forbidden)
they are not an agency, and not in the business of getting work for actors.

They are in the business of getting money from actors.

Hon, do NOT get excited. Syracuse is not where movies, plays and television shows are produced. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

I am 100% sure the agency coming to your area is a SCAM. A legit agency would not open an office in Syracuse. Sorry.

I have no idea but I did see a question of yours about good acting places in Syracuse a while ago. Other than Syracuse Childrens Theatre, some good acting places for teens are:

Theatre 90:
http://www.theatre90.com/

Merry Go Round Theatre: (This one is in Auburn, a little far away):

http://www.merry-go-round.com/

and Salt City Theatre:
http://www.saltcitycenter.com/

http://www.syracusearts.net/

has a huge list of singing/acting places around Syracuse

All of these places have auditions often. Good luck! Oh and most of these places are free.

It may have been www.amtcauditions.com. I heard about that on the radio, but I heard it on 106.5. AMTC is great, and it's a lot of fun. Even if you dont get scouted for Orlando, I promise you'll have fun at one of their open call events. I've been to tons of them before, and its a great way to practice audition techniques, on camera techniques, cold readings, and slating. It's a lot of fun getting to meet new people at the auditions too! It's done as a group audition, so you get to watch people perform!

I'm sorry to have to tell you this but agencies that operate like that are all scams. Even if you do find the website don't go. I don't want to see your parents robbed and you disappointed.
