Clean your air intake/Throttle body. use throttle body cleaner or carburator cleaner (doesn't make any difference in which one you use). Take a look at your spark plugs as well as air filter. simple to do , but you should have someone with experience do it for you , unless you know what your doing.! hope this helps, have a great evening!

First all vehicles idle at around 800 to 950 so 1500 indicators a project.....If the air idle administration valve is sticking for gunk and buildup it is going to idle undesirable up or down. i'm assuming its a three.8 v6 automobile comparable choose for the 4.6 v8 automobile it may actually be much less high priced to get the AIC valve replaced.

Was the fuel filter directional? Meaning that it's designed to flow one way? Did you mount it with the arrow pointing toward the engine?

Make sure nothing is blocking the flow of fuel through the filter. Also make sure your fuel pump is providing the proper amount of pressure.

see if theres a port on the fuel rail, if there is, bleed the system, there might be air in the lines, by you changing the filter.this might be a stupid question to ask you, but did you get the filter on backwards?
