I'm 22, and it's a HUGE difference between each year from when I was 18 until now. Someone who is 27 most likely only wants your body for sex, and is not serious about a relationship with you. You, are also probably not ready for a real, lasting relationship either. If you are 19, I would suggest dating people that are 18-21. I think the older you get, the less age matters...but a 27 year old to be wanting to date a 19 year old is a bit odd.

Hello and welcoem to my life LOL

WhenIwas 17 I met a 26yr old man!! At first I thought hum.... is this wrong but it was great at first I feel in love and within three months I lost my virginty to him and got pregnant!! Bad news Good news I am was keeping the baby!! he was older had a good job and promised to be there! Things where great for the first yr then the age difference should through.
Example #1 Older guy thought I need to keep the house clean it was my job!!
#2 They tend to want to stay more and you are still young and want to go out more
#3 Jealous no matter what they say

But I do have friends who have this age difference and things worked out great just as you get older they will be that much older and grow out of things faster then you will

You want to avoid power disparities in relationships. You don't really want to date someone who is much different from you in age, wealth or education as this may provide problems with power relationships between you.

Would you date someone younger than you? Even by a few years? Why not?

You can't say if its wrong to go out with someone based on a number (19 vs. 27) however, what you want to watch out for is strong differences in your experience. Is he fairly new to dating? Are you fairly experienced? If you have never had a boyfriend and he's been married a few times and had many relationships you might want to consider wondering why he finds you appealing instead of someone with more experience like him?

If you want to learn about dating and romance finding a more experienced partner is one way to do it. But they don't need to be much more experienced than you for that to happen.

No, it is not wrong. You are old enough to choose the person you want to date no matter what their age. When I was 17 my boyfriend was 27 and he was much more of a gentleman than any high school boy I knew at the time!

Im 28 and Im in a relationship with a 20 year old female. As long as the mutual interest is there and you find each other attractive, then there is nothing wrong. Just do not try to introduce him to your parents, I had to lie about my age once :P very uncomfortable and awkward.

Controlling and only wanting sex? Geez, maybe those girls just picked the bad apples. I do not mind dating people my own age but most of the females my age have kids and I am not trying to be a step dad to anyone.

Cant find anyone my own age....pleez. I am by no means jealous nor controlling, she can do what she wants, shes an adult and acts like it atleast.

If things do not work with your guy then you can try again with me ;)

If you think that you can live with him forever and he is ready too then right, but like usual he may be exploitng your younger body. Idealy you should love a male of 20-22 never more than this if you want to enjoy in a better way.But on the other hand it's the matter of heart where age is of no value.
whatever is i wish you good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he treats you respect and tenderness then what's the problem? I met my husband of 34 years when I was 16. He was 32. So, 8 years difference isn't so bad, is it. If you both enjoy each others company, then have a great time.

its perfectly ok. Most of the time we are given a range between 5- 10 years older on the female part. What counts the most is that you love eachother and get along. Go ahead no worries!!

Yes. My reasoning? Typically when a guy goes for someone that much younger it's because of a few reasons: 1) He wants to be able to tell you what to do. 2) You're hot. 3) Women his own age won't date him - why? 4) He thinks he's smarter than you are and again, can boss you around.

I have a 22 year old son. When he was 19, he dated a 24 year old girl. She was always trying to tell him what to do, what to wear, how to act. I heard her telling one of his friends that "he's a good f### buddy, but I wouldn't be serious with him." She was shocked to see me standing there. I never said anything to my son until after they broke up, but I was always cautious about her.

I ususally say 4 years older 1 year younger.
But then again age is just a number and maybe you guys share the same mentality and interests.
As long as you feel confortable with him.
