Which is worse -- spending too much, or not having enough income?
Well, I'd have to say spending too much is worse. Because for a reasonable budget, you shouldn't spend more than you take in.
Remember that the tax breaks you are talking about still result in the companies and CEOs paying 10 to 100 times as much as the average for one individual.
So, would you rather be upset the rich people aren't being charged 20 times as much as the average person? Or get the politicians to stop overspending?

It depends on the amount of the tax breaks and the amount of spending that's wasteful. But tax rates should not be rolled back during a time of war. It's was never done before and that's why the US has gone 4 trillion more into debt. Wasteful government spending has not been cut. Under the Bush administration the govt sector has expanded more than at any time since Franklin Roosevelt. So Bush has done both, wasteful spending, and expanded corporate welfare, and he's started a "generational" world wide war on a tactic (terror). And your children and grandchildren will pay dearly for the mistakes and greed of the incompetent Republican ideologues you so avidly support.

Wasteful government spending.
Who does the "working" class work for!!?!!??
News Flash**** Companies!!!
By giving tax breaks to companies, they have more money to:
Give raises to their employees - benefiting the working class
Reinvest in their business - improving the economy
And "rich" CEO's spend their money, often on things that are made, marketed, and sold by those in the "working class".
Tax cuts spur growth.
Democrats want to increase spending and taxes, taking my money and giving it to someone else.
Republicans want to cut spending, allowing me to keep more of my $$$ each paycheck.
Think about it.

Wasteful government by far!
A tax break for a corporation creates more jobs and cheaper products for the American people. And helps keep the jobs in the US.
Not sure why so many people have a hard time understanding this....

Government spending, hands down. At least when companies get tax breaks they reinvest the money back into their corporation. CEOs who get tax breaks could reinvest that money back into the economy.
Wasteful government spending has no benefit.

wasteful spending is worse. our economy depends on companies and the jobs they create; im not opposed to them getting tax breaks.
(CEO's, however, are private citizens deserving of which ever tax breaks are being given to private citizens; companies are classified as collective groups of people: corporations)

Add up the cost of wasteful gov't spending...add up the expense of CEOs....
Govt spending outrides it. THe sheer numbers and magnitude of the difference between the 2 make the case.
Example: I work in a large organization (more than 18000 employees, $2B revenue). Our exec comp is just over 1% of revenue--that's all. ANd yes, our CEO makes over a million a year alone (a lot over.)
THe govt spending is HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE

Wasteful government spending, without a doubt.
I must admit--your question is like asking "which is worse, being shot or being stabbed?".

Well wasteful government spe................ You know where I'm going with that.
I like rich people. Give them tax breaks all they want. I for one have always been employed by rich people and that has allowed me to live a really comfortable life.
But wasteful government spending? I can't think of much it has done for me or anybody I know. Spending millions to write up a bill to name a building is pretty stupid if you ask me.
