I have a 2003 Mustang GT, and when I step on the gas the tires spin a lot, even with brand new wide tires.

The control arms are GRANATELLI brand....is that a good brand??

Do you think it will help me with the wheel spin?

What else could I buy for my car that will help that?

and no I dont want to take any air out of the tires.

Thank You

The traction achieved by the rear tires is only affected by eight things:

1. The coefficient of friction: the type of road surface, and whether the tires are slipping (kinetic friction) or gripping (static friction)
2. The temperature of the tires
3. The camber of the tires (zero camber is best for forward acceleration, but not ideal for cornering)
4. The weight on the rear wheels.
5. The presence of a limited-slip differential, in case one wheel slips and the other doesn't
6. The size of the tire contact patch (excluding grooves or cuts in the tire)
7. The pressure inside the tires
8. The rear suspension stiffness

Unless your suspension has a significant camber change when the rear end squats under acceleration, the suspension geometry will not affect your traction in any noticeable way. The suspension stiffness will have a very small effect.

Do you have a limited slip differential? Do one of those first or spool for maxium two wheel traction. but that makes your car a trailer queen. Get the max wide drag racing slicks. When you heat them up in the water they get as sticky as the track. Don't want to take air out of the tires? Boy o boy are you confused. On my 2006 pontiac GTO I run 22 psi rear and 44 front. and as low as 20 psi for cold tracks. The widest foot print of tire to ground will produce the best launch and 60 foot times. You have to work tire pressures widths and types ot tread compounds for each track you want to Trophy in your class and earn a little after racing bragging money don't you? consistancy and good lights will always take home the trophy in bracket racing...

other than completely redesigning the rear suspension, traction bars are probably the best thing you can do for traction.

does it have factory limited slip?
if it doesn't you could get a locker for that rear end

Yes, those will help some, also use your traction control option, as it is pretty much standard on your year stang...Good luck.
