Why don’t they just go and find something better to do, like playing with white box jelly fish or play with a white shark for the hell of it

I was mainly talking about the UK and labour/communist party but you lot also have the same problem
In addition, why did Charles Clark have a statue of Joseph Stalin on his desk?

Just once, I'd like to see a lefty propose solutions to winning in Iraq, rather than abandoning it.
Don't like the course we're on? Fine, tell us how to win.

Peeking in from a Moderate/Independent point of view -- I don't see the Left as being "hell-bent on destroying this country" any more than the Right would be intent on doing the same thing. The Left -- or the Democrats, if you prefer to name a particular political party affiliation -- have their own vision of what is the right way to govern this country, just as the Right -- or Republicans -- have theirs. It doesn't mean that either side is the Empirical position of being completely correct on what to do. In some instances one or the other is correct -- and in other instances, neither are correct. That's part and parcel of the governmental business of the democratic process.

We socialists are not advocating a situation whereby we "win". What we are advocating is to leave people alone and mind our own business. With the US foreign reserves depleted and the massive slump in hedge funding and the collapse of the US housing markets all due to an incompetent president, it would be useful to look at alternative political and economic strategies before mama comes home.

I'm on the left, and I love my country, and I hate what the current administration is doing, so I consider it my patriotic duty to resist them in any way I can. Far from "destroying this country" I'm trying to create a safer, freer, and more democratic nation. Maybe you should do some research on Habeas Corpus and see how the current administration has destroyed it. Too many people have fought and died for the freedoms we used to have before this administration. They need to be stopped.

Because they have a contract with the right wing. The right wing and left wing are working together to destroy America, goodness, decency, morality, intelligence, and rationality
Laissez-Faire Guy> Not a left winger but I think we should leave Iraq. That will address a lot of problems like 1: our troops will stop being killed while acting as Iraqi police force (and to be honest I don't care what happens to the Iraqi people anymore...they should have stepped up and pulled themselves together long ago). 2: We will no longer be intruding in someone else's country which is fueling fire of anger and helping terrorists recruit. 3: We can take this money spent on Iraq and put it towards new energy sources so we don't have to care about oil anymore and then let their economies crash for all I care. 4: at some point you have to take your hand out of the pie unless you are trying to get a big mess that benefits no one.

Is there a question there somewhere amongst your diatribe?
It's probably best if you were to spend your time getting a political education which would lead you to an understanding of the political process in Britain and a more balanced view of the current political situation.

I envy the free time you obviously have. I also have a question for you: what is it that you're hoping to accomplish here? Seemingly rooting for the violent demise of anyone who has political views and assumptions that differ from your own probably isn't going to lead to intelligent and rational dialog, so what is it that you're going for? Gratuitous provocation? Blanket, caricatured representations of all Muslims? Seriously, what was it that you were seeking to prove?

As a progressive/liberal, I can tell you that we're NOT hell-bent on destroying America. Rather, we are committed to saving America and doing what's right for America.

They're not. they just want to "reshape" it into a close a match as possible to Orwell's 1984 without any resistance from the unwashed mass. "You will be assimilated - resistance is futile"
