I Use Mc Afee Security Center. Some says it slows down ur computer but mine just work perfectly. It has automatically updates itself everyday.

I find that separate programs for specific tasks are the best, one anti-virus and a few spyware programs are good, this site has a good list of free ones

don't know about suites but you can download AVG and adaware their what I'm using right now don't slow me down a bit
