It sounds like your barb has an internal infection that is affecting his swim bladder. To be honest, if he has been that bad for over a day it would be a miracle to save him at this point. You can try treating with an antibiotic like Furanace or tetracycline, but I wouldn't hold out too much hope to be honest.

The best way to prevent it from spreading will be to remove your sick fish before it dies in the tank.

Tiger barbs are hardy fish and very little perturbs them. This sounds a little like dropsy which is an overwhelming infection of bacteria. It's usually fatal. Protect your other fish by keeping a very clean tank. Check your maintenance, change your filter packs if it time or close to it, do a water change, maybe 70% or so, and water vacume sweep the gravel for nitrate removal. DON'T KILL YOUR GOOD GRAVEL BACTERIA BY WASHING THE GRAVEL. Most pet stores will do a FREE water test for nitrates if you ask them, but go ahead and do the water change now before you wind up with more sick fish. High nitrate levels will lower your fishes immunity to diseases like dropsy and others. Over feeding is a source of nitrates, too. Ask a local fish store specialist about your barb's condition.

It sounds like a swim bladder infection like MM said. The swim bladder allows the fish to balance and control its depth. Like he said, it would be difficult to save now, but you might try treating the tank anyway to keep it from infecting your other fish. Good luck! (make sure you get your remaining Tiger Barb another Tiger or two to keep it from getting lonely)

A 2 gallon is in basic terms too small for tiger barbs, they have been probable so filled up they couldnt bypass everywhere. i does not propose making use of Ph balancer the two, a unexpected substitute in ph will kill you fish off very immediately. stable success interior the destiny.
