a man is caught on tape, (the alleged abuser, has a friend in the police, hence the reason for taping him in the first place.) bragging about abusing his granddaughter, taped by his friend. the friend then goes through all the proper channels, reports it to the police, tells them he has the tape. they get serious crime squad involved, then it dries up, nothing happens. they didnt even collect the tape, and no contact since,
this cannot be right can it, his (the aleged abuser) friendship is more valuable to the police friend, than a 4yr old girls well being.
what do you think,
this is true 100%

My best guess is that the tape (the only evidence) would be inadmissible since it was made without the subject's knowledge. Very sad in this case, if that's the situation, but the legal system that protects the innocent often protects the guilty as well. That's the unfortunate price we pay.

How do we know the man on tape was not bragging or even fantasizing aloud to his friend.

It's certainly worth investigation, but not case closed by any means.

Perhaps the "crime squad" contacted the family involved and found there was no abuse.

I have seen myspace pages from cops that claim that they are the biggest gang in america!

I have seen banners on their pages that say "you were in charge until i walked in"

They are the second biggest organized crime group in the U.S.

The Government is #1, and group 2 is the tool group 1 uses to impose its will on the people.

Cops today have a "us against them" mentality, and the people they swore to protect and serve are the "them" in the quote.

if this tape exists take it to a solicitor if you know a good one . i had trouble with the coppers once through know fault of my own it was just one dodgy bastard .but a few letters from a brief got him moved. i know your predicament if far more serious and you should really push it.
