All last year for school we had to think of what this questions meant and at the end of the year when we had to write an essay on what we think this means i pretty much failed. What do u think this means? "How am I, as a human, defined or shaped by the world around me?" I have no idea what this means... what do u think it means? Thanks! :)

How could you NOT know what it means? The question is so plain and clear it practically explains itself. What it's saying is How are you as a person affected by your surroundings? There are three possible answers: In a good way, in a bad way, or not at all. All you have to do is pick one and elaborate on it.

It basically sounds like their asking how the things in your life has shaped your personality and how you see your self.
