I put eye primer to make my eye-shadow last long. But I don't think you can find eye primer in a drugstore. The one I use is from Mary Kay.

You definitely should use a primer to keep your eyeshadow in place and the color true. Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best and you can get it for $14 at sephora. Or you can try the eye primer by Lumene which is $10 at CVS pharmacy.
I also suggest putting the white on last when applying shadow to lids. Generally the darkest colors go on first and the lighter color is used to highlight the brow bone and to blend at the crease so that the main or accent color does not look harsh.

Definitely use an eyeshadow primer. I know you don't want to spend $$ but the mac eye paints are amazing. You must have oily skin like me, therefore vaseline is the worst thing you could possible use. Tha mac one I use is called "bare canvas". This is how you see the MAC artists with all the amazing color definition of eye colors...the start with the eye paint primer. Maybe you can find a cheaper one at the drug store. Good luck!!

have you ever tried a primer? city Decay's Primer Potion and Mac's Fluid line artwork truly properly. As for eyeshadows, Mac, Chanel, city Decay, NARS are all reliable manufacturers. If those are too high priced for you, i could look at the Loréal HIP eyeshadows- they final an prolonged time and have heavily reliable payoff.

You could try using a white eyeliner to make the white stand out more. I have also heard that applying foundation before you put the eyeshadow on helps it not come off so easily.

Try rubbing a little bit of vaseline on your eyelid, it will help the shadow stick. Just use a very very small amount or else it will cake
