Daimler practically gave away Chrysler to Cerebus Capital. This financial co. will break up Chrysler and sell off any pieces to turn a profit. DO NOT buy a Chrysler because they wont be around 5 years from now (and they have the industry worst warranty)

Great..another AMERICAN who wishes to stab one of our last remaining industries in the heart. What are you talking about on warranty..do you even know?

· 7 year/70,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty*
· 3 year/36,000 mile Basic Limited Warranty
· Complimentary loaner vehicle for scheduled dealer visits
· 24/7 towing assistance
While not the best, certainly not the worst!!

From everything that has been said about the deal cerebus has no plans to dismantle Chrysler corporation and they have stated they are in it for the long haul.Chrysler builds some of the nicest looking automobiles and their powertrains are excellent. The big problem from what I can tell as a previous owner of three 2001 or newer chrysler products is a need for better finish parts.Nicer materials for seats better clips for window visors chrome that doesn't peel at only two years old and working out electrical gremlins.Quiter vehicles with less roadnoise in the passenger compartment and better resale value all add up to why I didn't buy chrysler this time.I'm sure that with better management Chrysler can accomplish these things and when they do I'll be more than happy to purchase another.

The new owners of Chrysler aren't about to break up the company, since the individual parts are worth far less than the company is worth as a whole. Expect Cerberus to 'start trimming waste' in order to turn this giant pig into something profitable.

As far as warranties go, Chrysler's is about the same as are those of the other two giant pigs. The differences are in how tightly they stick to the wordings of the warranty. Since GM and Ford are also losing huge amounts of cash, they are nowhere near as generous with their warranties as they were previously either.

I work for a company that was bought by Cerberus. That is what they do. They tear companies down and sell the pieces.

I dont think they will split it up and sell it.

Chrysler still makes a good product, and they have been profitable lately, but not in the latest quarter. But who knows.. you might be right.

I hope not.
