It depends on where you pre-ordered it from. Barnes and Noble, Amazon, or Borders, and it will probably be there by the 21st. When I pre-ordered HP & HBP, I got it the morning it was officialy released. Hope you're looking forward to it! (I know I am!)

I seem to recall a news article around the time they announced the release date in which they said that folks who ordered online would be getting the book the day it comes out. The publishers will ship the book so as to have it arrive at people's homes on that day.

If you pre-ordered it in a store you will be able to pick it up on the day it is released and not before. If you ordered it on line you will get it the day it is released (july 21) or later. Most websites are guaranteeing delivery on the 21st. I know Amazon is. You will not get it before july 21st the publisher has a legal agreement with stores and distributors.

the release date is THE release date. if you were able to get the book earlier by pre-ordering, then there wouldn't be many people worrying about the real release date. it should come probably around two to three days after the release. happy reading!

Stores are under orders not to sell till 7/21. Many will be open at midnight on the 20th.

I preordered from Barnes and Noble and mine will be shipping on the 21st. So it will probably arrive later than the day it comes out.

Many pre-order sites guarantee release-date shipping. If you don't get it on the release date, you'll most likely be able to get your money back (and still get the book)

i pre ordered the movie once and it came out the day before
i also pre ordered one of the books and i got it at midnight

if you ordered it on Amazon, they guaranteed it'll be delivered on the release date (July 21) but i think other places will deliver alittle later
