While I truly enjoyed the films, I liked the books better. Okay, I need to rephrase that, while I truly enjoyed Fellowship and Return of the King, I liked the books better. I was not at all impressed with Two Towers. But I'm a book purist, so I think that's where that particular opinion comes from.

It is so dang awesome. I love it to death. I ecspecially love Orlando Bloom. It's teh best movie in the world. I can't wait til I read the books and the new one, The Children of Hurin. It sounds so cool. Every1 acts so good and Peter Jackson is an amazing director. I can't believe they might quit making the Hoobit coz Jackson and some other dude got into a fight and Jackson was going to quit.

Lord of the Rings RULES!!! the books are great but I am glad they omitted a lot of the singing & merry making for the movies. It would of been cool to see Tom Bombadil in the film though. omg. I have just ruined my protected image of coolness by revealing my inner dorkiness & spreading nerd molecules to everyone in cyberspace.

I loved the first one. It was so beautiful, and the actors, music and adaptation made so wonderful. I absolutley hated the second one with a passion. They nerfed Gimli, ruined Faramir, and Eomer was largely absent. The Ents, who were supposed to be these ancient, wise beings, got tricked by a retard. Eowyn was the one good thing about that movie. And I was indifferent to the third one.

I loved the lot of them. Got the the movies but they're on video. Gonna set up my recorder some day and sit and watch them all again. Got to try and get them onto DVD.
Go Aragorn!! Yummy!
Loved the books too.

I've only seen the previews for them, and the settings are lovely ( filmed in NZ) but I'd have to say I prefer the books! Tolkien rocks!

I loved them. I had read the books three times, then read each one again before I saw each film.
I was very dubious before i saw the first one as I did not think there was a way of it being done well. How wrong I was.
