I honestly believe our next step in evolution is alien life. I mean, if you look at the concept of Greys, taking into accont that we tend to evolve specific traits for our environment. We no longer need to worry about predators, so. . .
Big head - bigger brain, more complex thought process.
Large eyes, small nose, small mouth - we very much need to see, and in a room full of technology have little need to smell or eat much.
Thin, muscleless bodies - what physical work do we need in a world full of robots and computers? They've proven our bones are gradually becoming smaller. Very ancient people were shown to have stronger and thicker femurs, while ours are becoming thinner and more brittle.
Long fingers - better for working with technology. Our fingers need little strength anymore, and longer, thinner fingers are perfect for typing on a computer or messing with wires.
Grey skin - I believe this could be explained by lack of exposure to outside environment.
I believe it's very likely that someday we might look more and more like aliens. I think I've heard theories that we're simply primitive forms of them, and that's why they come here and experiment on us. I mean, if we had a chance to prod at some cavemen, wouldn't we take the chance?

Humans, monkeys and their relatives all evolved from a common ancestor long ago. You can think of it as similar to the process by which one kind of dog was developed into all the different breeds we have today.
Humans are evolving all the time. Many Africans, for example, have evolved some resistance to malaria. Northern Europeans have evolved fair skins and long noses to deal with faint sunlight and cold air, and so on. Hopefully we continue to evolve in ways that make us smarter and more compassionate.

There's a few things that people are failing to take into account.
For one, no matter how cool an adaptation you develop, if everyone else thinks you look like a freak because of it and you have less children, it will go away. Thus you can probably forget about antennae, four arms, or turning into spindly aliens. Atheletes always get more mates than freaks.
Nor is there EVER likely to be a circumstance where physical prowess is not an advantage for survival. Granted, other things may play a larger role comparatively, but that is not the same as complete negation. A caveman in a club-fight might not have needed much more than strength and toughness, but even if an artillerist spends more time with geometry than physical exertion, one who can exert himself when the need arises ("Incoming!") can easily outlive another who can't. Even if future machines do all our fighting for us, the person who wins the footrace to the last twinkie will probably get to eat it, whatever future twinkies are like.
Lastly, with genetic engineering we will soon have a LOT more say in what kind of genes we have than Nature is likely to. I suspect that humans shortly thereafter will come to resemble our ideals much more... and perhaps that means several different species of post-humans because different people sometimes have very different ideals. Among them I'm sure you'll find a kind of superman - people who are naturally strong, attractive, intelligent, and gifted in whatever ways we are capable of crafting into genes.
Perhaps at that point evolution will be a moot point... or perhaps it will be hyper-accentuated as people come to craft themselves even throughout their lives, changing their bodies to adapt to whatever task or field they find themselves engaged in at the time. I plan on seeing for myself, personally.
Peace.

I would like to take this opportunity to clarify certain misconception on the actual Darwin’s theory of evolution. I would dearly like it if people would take the trouble to research before making statements that could further damage the public conception and understanding of certain things, like theories, events, history and even religion.
Now, it is true that the theory never said anything about human beings evolving FROM monkeys; on the contrary, Humans are said to come from the SAME ANCESTORS as monkeys or apes or anything else from the Hominidae family today. Humans couldn’t have evolved from monkeys because they are of the SAME GENERATION, to make it simple.
Okay, having said that, I am not a believer of the Darwin’s theory of human evolution myself, because I am a creationist and I believe in God. And I believe that human beings specifically are created on this earth for a purpose, and not as a result of coincidental survival of genetic “codes” of creatures from the pre-historic past. But I respect the right for anyone to have their own opinions and beliefs as to human origins, including that of Darwin’s.
But to answer your question, my dear, if human beings are to evolve, I think they have a good chance to evolve to higher levels of knowledge, consciousness, civilization and morality…if they are not bent on destroying each other firsthand….
Thank you.

Homo Economicus will evolve from humans according to Ludwig von Mises and the Austrian school of economics.
Or the Ubermensch will evolve according to Freddy Nietzsche.

Man didn't evolve from monkeys. Darwin never said that, and neither has any reputable scientist since then. As far as what will evolve in the future, that's simple. Humans that are more adapted to their environment.

I dont think humans will evolve. I think we will be wiped out before we get a chance to and the whole life thing will start from scratch. Maybe not even on this planet, just one that has suitable conditions.

I think humans, with different abilities and features as well.
Perhaps, more ears and eyes and their intelligence will be more enriched. And this makes clear sense knowing how some humans are born with an extra arm or uncommon features but are removed, what if they weren't removed.
what if that extra arm was kept and passed on towards further genes..
Some what like smart cartoon aliens

If you believe Humans evovled from monkeys or apes! you don't deserve to be human!
If humans did evovled from monkeys --then every living things must at some time evolve from something else --and its not happening!

Well, I think humans will evolve, just adapt to whatever we face.
But I like these two articles, especially the interactive one.
