Is a sheep a female and a lamb a boy or are they two seperate anilmals?

Both names refer to a sheep.
***Sheep are those over one year of age who have usually produced offspring.
***Lambs are those less than one year of age and have usually not produced offspring.
***Lamb is also the term for the flesh of a young domestic sheep eaten as food.

A lamb is a young sheep and is called that until it is about 1 year old. Sheep is the designation for the type of animal. A ewe is a female sheep, a ram is a male sheep and a wether is a castrated male sheep. so if you had adult sheep you would call them sheep (or ewes, rams or wethers) and if they were young you would call them lambs (or ram lambs for all boys or ewe lambs for girl lambs).

lambs are baby sheep
