Been looking for a simple NAS device for the home network that I could serve a USB drive through. All the ones I've seen so far run $100 which seems sorely overpriced for an ethernet port and a USB socket... especially considering the price of home routers these days, which are probably more technically sophisticated.

I want a standalone NAS device that accepts a USB drive on one end and plugs into Ethernet on the other. I don't want to replace my existing router. And I am looking for a reasonable price, like under $70.
