Okay let me answer this in depth. First off, yes that is a 64 bit processor. I noticed you asked the question, "is it true 64 bit?" I have heard this before, this idea was started by AMD people, that AMD processors were "true" 64 bit and Intels were, well I guess "not-true" 64 bit. This is a total myth, a processor is either 64 bit or not, there is no "true" 64 bit and ones that aren't "true" 64 bit.

This processor will run either a 32 bit or 64 bit OS. Vista Ultimate is available in either 32 bit or 64 bit versions, either one will run on this processor. Vista 64 will run just about every program that Vista 32 will run, with a few small exceptions. And you don't have to "enable" 64 bit technology in the BIOS, not sure what that was about.

Yes it will run 64 bit but there are also 32 bit versions of vista too (including ultimate). You will have issues trying to get some programs to run on Vista 64 bit, its best to stick with 32 bit for now. You can run Vista 32 bit on that computer as well.

I've been browsing the web more than 4 hours today seeking the answers to the same question, but I haven't found a more interesting debate like this. it is pretty worth enough for me.
