The boy name--not too convinced.
The girl name I like, but I have a minor suggestion:
Add an h--Layla Ashanti Washington.

I really like your choice for a girl-Layla Asanti is very beautiful. I am not so big on Amari for a boy, I think it sounds a little feminine and it also reminds me of Calamari. Sorry.

They are both pretty but I think Amari is a bit feminine. JMO. :) I love Layla Asanti!

i like them alot...good choices. Amari can be for a girl too...but layla is still nice

The boys first name is beautiful...but it sounds or looks like a girls name....and the girls second - the middle name if I was the girl...rather have that as my first name and the Layla as the second.

when i asked how Amari sound every body was like its really feminine because that's what my mom is gonna name her son.... i personally is not a huge fan of Amari but i have to start liking it...... good on you... n congrats
