I'm pretty sure Al Harrington ($6 mil/yr) and Adonal Foyle ($8 mil/yr) are going to be traded for Kevin Garnett because of their contracts. As far as Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins goes, I would rather give multiple 1st round picks than give up both. The Warriors are a young team so they don't need their future picks.

According to an article the Warriors are willing to part with half their team for a 30 year old Kevin Garnett. Don't get me wrong I would love nothing more than to see KG in a Warriors uniform. But seriously AT 30 HOW MUCH DOES HE HAVE LEFT IN THE TANK? Is it really worth it to give up all of our young talent?

Al Harrington, Adonal Foyle, Monta Ellis, and Brandon Wright seems like a lot to give up just for Garnett. With the trade of Jason Richardson and the $10 million dollar exception, look for the Warriors to do a sign and trade deal with the Wolves. The sign and trade may be directly with the Wolves or may be part of a 3 way trade with another team.

The Warriors need to think about what fits their style. More and more of the NBA is becoming an up and down quick game-like the Bulls and the Suns-even the Mavericks too-and the Warriors play their game real well at that level. If they trade the players you mentioned for Garnet, they are going to be competing against teams that are faster and much more deep.

I don't think that the Warriors can get it done with just Garnett and Baron Davis. They need that supporting cast. I cans ee why Minnesota wants to do this, because they may be thinking about rebuilding.

Well, I think Garnett is athletic and fast enough to be in a run and gun offense, but maybe not as much as wright. It is a lot to give up, but u have to wonder if GS is going to win a championship without a dominant low post scorer. Let's look back on past champions and they all have dominant big men, especially who can score:
06-07-Tim Duncan
05-06-Shaq
04-05-Tim Duncan
03-04-Rasheed
02-03-Tim Duncan
01-02-Shaw
01-02-Shaq
99-00-Shaq
98-99-Tim Duncan and David Robinson
All the bulls titles: no player of anyones caliber has come close to MJ, and therefore, he could get by without a dominant big man scorer, and a lot of ppl forget that Dennis Rodman was a great scorer in addition to monster rebounding numbers.
Plus the jazz got to the finals with malone multiple times, not to mention the nets got to a couple with K-mart. The point is, if history is any indication, dominant big men are a big factor in getting rings. Don't get me wrong GS is one of my favorite teams and probably the msot fun to watch (baron is amazing)! But I just don't know if they can win a championship without a player in the mold of KG, Dwight, or Amare. Whether Brandon Wright turns into that player is yet to be seen, so I wouldn't take the risk of letting KG go by. I wasn't thouroughly impressed from what I've seen from Wright in college, but who knows, he does have potential and it's just my opinion.

Also: Do the Warriors remind u people of the Clippers from the late 90's and early 2000's? They were fun to watch with odom, q-rich, darius miles, and all these dunkers. The warriors seem like a better version of them.

KG still has a good 5-6 years left in him. Al Harrington might be good but I would give him and adonal foye and maybe one more player. But having to trade 4 players for KG is still too much. KG's market value is decreasing, and trading J Rich for Brandon Wright was a really bad trade.

Bad for the Warriors because Garnett is ooooooold. Harrington is a good player and so is Richardson.

It's all about ticket sales. Don't get excited about winning. The Warriors will be the 2007 / 2008 version of last years Clippers.

Kevin isn't going to get traded this year, the timberwolves already rejected many offers for him.

that would be bad for the warriors but think of the timberwolves after that trade. Theyd be pretty good.
