I guess the 'resistance' to the Israel occupation has just gone that deep into the culture. In America children are given 'heroes' and role models that do dispicalble things, as well. Not that drug use or cop-killing or even blowing away 'bad guys' by the score like an action hero are quite as horrific as suicide bombing, but it's a matter of degree. The Arabs who identify as Palestinians (or thier ancestors in 1948) made a decision to fight for the destruction of Israel, rather than to participate as citizens of that state. These are the consequences.
