The polar bear population is not declining. The polar bears are thriving. The population has been exploding thanks to the warmer weather. The breaking up of ice does not hurt them either. Polar bears spend a lot of their time in the water and can swim over two miles at a time.

I read some scientists working for the government were told they could not discuss the declining polar bear population because that might imply global warming.
