I havent had a ticket in over 10 years if not more. I was driving through a neighborhood and didnt realize I was going 37 in a 25. My 3 year old was in the backseat and I lost my train of thought. I dont want this to go on my record or insurance. Someone suggested that I have ask for "prayer for judgment" I dont know what this is and my court date is Thursday. I dont want this on my record. What is Prayer for judgement? Will I still have to pay the fine? Just looking for some advice. Thanks.

You could ask the judge for a deferred judgment. Some states do this. If you don't get a ticket for 6 months, the original ticket is dismissed. It is for normally safe drivers (like you seem to be).

Do realize how unbeleivably minor of a charge this is?

Odds are after the judge reams out the guy doing doing 127 MPH in a elementary school zone on his 8 speeding violation in 9 months she will dismiss the ticket againt you and tell you to drive a little slower next time.
