Alex Rios?

Question

This Blue Jay may be the next up-in-coming Superstar Outfielder, and this is his second straight All-Star Game (missed last year with an injury). What are your thoughts about this player?

I'm a Jays fan, so I obviously like Alex Rios. They've been touting him for a while now, so it's nice to see that he's really coming into his own now that he's in his mid-20s.

I'd like to see him take a few more pitches sometimes, but it's tough to knock the aggressiveness that's helped him already match his 17 homers from last season. He's also doing a better job of shortening his stroke with 2 strikes, which should keep his strikeout totals at a reasonable number. In the field, he's very smooth with a good arm, and his only problem is that he occasionally seems to misjudge the angle of fly balls.

Overall, I'm as pleased as can be with Rios' development. I hope now that he continues to progress, and that he's in Toronto for the long haul.

Rios seems like a good hitter but he chocked under pressure at the homerun derby.. glad the super vlad, showed him how to hit it.
