Trescothick is a good test and ODI player.I believe he must be given a chance to make a comeback.He played well in domestic cricket.I believe it is a good decision to consider Trescothick for the series against India.

Though Trescothick hase been a player of proven ability, since he has been and out of England Team continuously for a considerably long time due to mental related illness, it is a very bad decision to call him back against series against India immediately without assessing his form and fitness.

Trescothick has a proven record in both forms of the game and he is a veteran in the International stage. He has hit good form in domestic cricket and his selection is justified. I would rather him than Cook or Bell and perhaps Trescothick's return might rejuvenate Strauss.

no Trescothick is a phenomenal opening batsmen...he has done well in the past couple of months in the county sscene to get back into form.
he has done well against india in the past so its no surprise they have called him up

Trescothic is a proven player. against india , i dont think he will be struggling. he is a dashing player and indian bowlers doesnt bowl well when a batsmen is attacking. yep, his selection might be the right choice.

Trescothick had ben a tremendous batsman for england.
he destroyed many a bowler in his hayday.
i really think he can be real treat to indian team in this series.
