This is not a good trade for you. Wright and Morneau are two fantasy monsters. Magglio has been amazing and Lowell has been hot lately, but this is a classic sell high case of the team you are dealing with. Magglio can't keep up his current pace and if you bring him on your team, you are going to have to deal with his lower numbers. Lowell is notorious for getting hot for a few weeks and then going through awful months. He's also not a very good second half player. If you really want to deal Morneau (and I would hope you could somehow find room for him at a util or corner infield spot--he's really, really good), that's fine, but don't lose Wright as well. Run, don't walk, to reject this trade.

There's no reason to trade two players who are had average (Morneau) and below average (Wright) first halves for two players who played way out of their league until now. I am a Tigers fan as well, and Magglio has played way too well; there's just no other way to put it. The guy in my money league is trying like hell to get rid of him right now too, which is probably the same mentality the guy that offered him to you has. Lowell is no David Wright either. I would actually trade Cabrera for a top pitcher or outfielder. I'd bet you could get Sizemore straight up for Cabrera if you threw it up there.
Good luck.

I am a big Tiger fan and love the season that Magglio Ordonez is having. But I cannot see him batting higher than .330 for the season which means I see a big slump for him in the second half. If you were to trade ONE of these players for him that would be OK, but you are not making your team stronger by giving up both and replacing Wright with Lowell.
I would keep Morneau as my utility player with Cabrera as my third baseman. Trade David Wright for a good pitcher.

Morneau is just really good injury support for Fielder or your Utlility. Wright is not putting up eye popping numbers by any means, but I think Lowell is much more likely to regress to a lower level of play than Wright is. Magglio would help you a lot mroe daily than Morneau will by sitting on the bench mostly.

This is a not a very good trade. Wright gives you similar stats as Lowell, but with the added SB's. Magglio is having a great year, and I could see trading for him if you need OF help, but I think you can get better players for what you are offering

Do not do this trade.
Use Morneau for your UTIL spot. Even if you're already using someone there, you can definitely get someone better.
I'm guessing you're gonna need a 3B or OF so try targeting some of these players that would probably help your team more:
3B Aramis Ramirez
3B Miguel Cabrera
3B Chipper Jones
3B Ryan Braun
OF Grady Sizemore
OF Carlos Lee
OF Alfonso Soriano
OF Carlos Beltran
OF Carl Crawford
OF Lance Berkman

Maggs numbers are likely to come down in the second half and Lowell played well over his head early and has been mediocre since. Wright and Morneau are both solid. I wouldn't make that trade. Trade Morneau for Maggs even up.

Move Morneau to the Util slot, keep either Miggy Cab or Wright your choice and deal the other for what ever position you feel that you need most.
Need speed at short? Go for Hanley or Rollins cause you won't be able to get Reyes.
Need outfield speed? Ichiro is the best bet. Pierre steals alot of bags but you could get him and something else too.
Want power from the infield? Utley could be had.
Outfield weak? Grab well... any one. Holliday, Crawford, Grady, Soriano, Vladdy, Lee etc.
There has got to be something else you can do aside from making this horrible trade.
