Water does not stop the period!!! Don't ever use a pad in the pool, that's not only disgusting, embarrassing when it soaks but also you can get an infection easily from dirty water.
Use a tampon and change it after swimming.
No need to miss out on summer fun just because we are women now, is there?

OH come on, lets think about this.
A PAD, in WATER.
Uh, no. The pad will soak up the water as soon as it touches the water.
Tampons or no swimming.
If you swim on your period without a tampon you will be polluting the water and humiliating yourself when you get out of the water and blood runs down your legs.
Contrary to what people say, your period DOES NOT STOP IN WATER! What happens is, the water disperses the blood throughout the pool so quickly that it only LOOKS as though your period stops.
Trust me it does not stop, and it will be embarrassing.

You can swim with a period if you wear a TAMPON. A pad won't work. it will soak up water the minute you jump in and then won't absorb the blood. Plus it will puff out (as f=if you were wearing a diaper--talk about embarassing!) NO tampon= No pool
Water does NOT stop a period.

Yes you can go swimming while on your period BUT not with a pad. A pad is like a babies diaper [you know it swells up and gets gooey]
You can either use a tampon, or nothing.

NOO!! DONT GO IN WATER WITH A PAD! TRUST ME! On my second period i wore one in the lake But what happens is its forms a kind of jell and it goes onto your bathing suit. Its really gross. So use a tampon. If you dont know how yet, Then i wouldn't go.

Yeah, if you use a tampon. You have to be extremely careful if you don't have one on in the pool and you have your period. I've heard that it stops in the pool but I think that the water just washes it up. I'd say using a tampon is safest.

yes, of course you can. there are two options. you can use a tampon or go without. if you use a tampon, make sure it is inserted correctly & it is a fresh one. after you are done swimming, use the bathroom immediately to change your tampon. if you decide to go without, theres nothing really to worry about. your period will stop when youre in the water. just make sure that as soon as you get out of the water, you insert a new tampon because your period will begin to flow again.

of course you can, just wear a tampon, not a pad, a pad will swell up and you'll be embarrassed.

Yes you can, but I would certainly use a fresh tampon and change it immediately after you get out of the water.
