it's very common to get a yeast infection during pregnancy. if you are sure it is yeast then you should be able to call your ob's office, tell them and they will let you know which over the counter medication is safe for you to take.

ok if youre hubby isnt infecting you, you may just have an imbalance in your body with all the hormonal changes. GO to a health food store and ask for yogurt with acidolpholous. Its a plain yogurt with a specific kind of natural bacteria. You can both EAT IT. and also take some extra, and mix it with a little water.. and put it in a douche bad and douche with it. ITs a natural form of relief, it may help balance the flora in your vagina. And its harmless for your baby. you need to eat it more in your diet so it naturally grows in your system and then it basically "eats the yeast away."
There are some products on the market that are external creams for yeast, but you should call a health clinic and talk to a nurse or dr whether those are alright. Also you can get acidolophlous pills .. their like a vitamin and take them orally .. and it increases it in your body.
There used to milk out there that has it, called A Plus. but i havent seen it in a while. Also change the soaps you are using to something without the usual chemical preps you can pick those up at a health food store.
And make sure your not wearing nylon panties and let yourself ":breathe'

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Ok go to the health food store and get acidophilis capsules and douch with them, that will stop the itching right away. just dont go deep with the douch bag to upset the mucus plug. Start taking at least three capsules a day of the acidophilis and this will not hurt you or the baby but will stop the yeast infection, also garlic will help alot, what happens with a yeast infection is you have a good bacteria on your vagina walls and with antibotics and medicines it gets thin which causes the itching and smell and pain...so if your get the acidophilis and put 5 capsules into a douch bag with clean water and douch with it it replaces the good bateria immediately...I know I have done it and it works quickly and easily...and I have never had another one ....hope it helps

Yeast infections can be common during pregnancy due to the change in hormones. I got one when I was pregnant too. I called the poison control center to be sure it would be ok to use Monistat 7. They said there was VERY minimal risk and suggested I treat it that way. I can report that everything is fine. I would stick to the 7 day treatment since the medication is not as strong as the 1 and 3 day versions of the OTC drugs.

the prenatal pill can cause yeast infections but maybe you should try visiting an emergency room if it's that bad cuz you dont want to use any medications or creams that may harm the baby. so visit an ER so they can give you a quick fix without harming the baby.

welcome to yet another one of those blasted pregnancy side-effects! it can be awful BUT natural yogurt straight from the fridge is the best thing & wont upset any aspect of your pregnancy. By the way, you apply it to you 'nether region' not eat it & do not put it into your vagina without medical advise! I had the yeast infection from hell with my 2nd child & could NOT get rid of it no matter what i did throughout the pregnancy. So, good luck :)

If you can make a solution of baking soda and water... This will soothe the itch and after the initial dousing... the burn... you may want to try with a bit of warm water at first... the baking soda calms the acid and changes the pH level that's in your system already.... Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy... @'~}
