Over 70 welcome to reply. I assume there is a boon in technology, as their was an earlier boon for sex.

Of course, to a certain extent. Jealous because it's true, youth is wasted on the young. Ever hear of the saying "if I knew then what I knew now?" You can't move as well, your memory isn't what it used to be, your body starts failing you. That would be the reason, nothing more.

Best advice: Listen to your elders and ask lots of questions. They have lived life and can give you insight as to what you can expect and how to handle it.

I think the biggest thing is regrets, no matter what age, if a person lives a full life and are content with all they have done, seen and experienced, then the only thing left would be the wish for less pain in the joints, and that it didn't hurt so much physically to be old and that their family was more interested in spending time getting to know them instead of being too busy or impatient. Most older people just shake their heads at the young because of experience they can see the mistakes we make and we wont listen to their wisdom.

I'm not yet 70, but looking forward to it, and 100, if possible.

I have a 72 year old cousin and most younger persons could not keep up with him if they tried really, really hard.

The wisdom is great, it's taken a lot of mistakes to learn. It's taken a time of having less and doing the best with what you had. It's listening to the radio for the news and entertainment, and I still do it. I don't have cable and haven't for the last 5 years. I've saved a lot of money on it.

Many of us who are older remember our families telling us the stories of our ancestors and how they managed. I got into this so much that I learned their cooking and preserving methods. When I do this, there's a constant stream of friends and neighbors at my door wanting to learn - OR TASTE.

There's no time in this life for jealousy. It makes you old and grouchy. And, really, is as negative for the old as it is for the young. Besides, what do I really and truly have to be jealous about?

jealous of what??? I am not 70, but nearing it and will be very soon. Jealous of young people???? I don't think so. I have spent far too many years being young and broke, young and heart sick, young and foolish, young and having no clues, and young without an idea of what' s coming tomorrow. At my age, I am not broke, have excitement, sex, love my job (never had a job when I was young that I liked), love those around me, and socialize with all age groups...I go dancing, I go out touring, I work, I love , i.....hell no...wouldn't trade places for anything... been there, done that, have the scars to prove it.

Jealous.. lolol

That's like you saying you'd be jealous of old folks if you're under 18.

To every time there is a season, there is beauty in all things - and smart folks know jealousy is a waste at any age.

I've never known an over 70s individual to be jealous of anyone's age - and I adore older folk - I really, really, really hope to be one some day.

I think less jealous because they have passed that age of jealousy & at age 70 you dont really care much how you look because you know sag & wrinkles were on the way when you're about 30-35 to begin with. I think jealousy will be the last thing in your mind at that age.

My mom is insanely jealous and always has been of my dad without reason. They are both in their mid- 70's. I think it's refreshing and cute that they care so much for one another that they can get jealous. But they never fight about it. For instance, my mom might buy my dad an expensive cologne but he can't wear it unless he is with her. He takes it in stride and smiles to me over her head.

Just because you reach a certain age you feel like a young person on the inside and they deserve our respect.

I am not that old yet
Less jealous they had more freedom- technology was easy to live with out. The wireless(radio) was the only means of entertainment - unless you made your own with a piano
just have running water and an inside toilet was a luxury
people were happy with what they had

" No " They are probably felling sorry for young people since half of you or less wont live to be 70 and the rest will go through a lot to become old and wise. Be sides that if you take care of body and mind it becomes quit rewording when it comes to dating and mating after 55. And I can vouch for that.

Older people feel sorry for the younger crowd. Times are alot worse now than they were back then. All the technology in the world will not make this mess of a world we live in better than it was in the 50s or 60s

I don't think pple over 70 would be jealous. I think they would think they have been there and done that and have no need to be jealous. I would think when I am over 70 I would know alot more than the younger pple and I wouldn't need to be jealous at all.
