In the small town where I go to the laundromat we all talk to one another. Most of us know each other and it's more of a social outing than just a chore when you can visit. We manage to bring strangers into the conversations, too. If I lived in a metropolis, I might feel differently... or maybe not. I'm a senior and getting to visit with people is one of little pleasures you learn not to take for granted. Just look at YA.

I don't go to laundromats. But I do chit chat with strangers. I had one lady start spilling her guts about her child wanting to commit suicide while I was in line for donuts. I guess I have that kind of face.

A "good" job for that person might be as an advisor for a high profile political candidate but I'll bet the poor sap is mid-level project manager for a small contractor somewhere.

Sure...I only go there to wash big blankets and when I do, I am stuck there guarding my laundry. So if anyonr wants to talk to me... i'm cool with it - as long as they aren't totally creepy.
Now as for you... I recommend you are very careful about doing that. There are too many creeps trhat would love to take advantage of an angel. Once your Guardian arrives, it's safer. hehe (-:

No, I just yell at them that they are interrupting the show. Then go back to watching the dryers.
