The above poll shows most of the public are skeptical of climate change and believe graffiti and dog mess are of more concern.

Hello,

(ANS) I do think Gordon Brown will be a FAR better prime minister than Tony Blair ever was. Or ever could be, Thank Goodness (sigh of relief!! TB's gone at last).

However, I have to say that Gordon Brown doesn't appear to have very good green credentials thus far, he has been ominously silent on the issue of climate change, global warming & pollution.

**Listening to the general public is one thing, but taking positive action is something utterly different.

**With Gordon the devil is always in the detail and complexity of his replies as far as I can see. Gordon can be quite a slipper character too abit like Blair, take the last budget if you want an example. He give with one stroke and took what he had given in the next breath with hardly anyone noticing until after the actual budget statement was over.

**I want to know if Gordon Brown is still going the back the mad Blair policy of expanding ALL UK airports in the next few years? Thus adding to more environmental damage?

Ivan

What can Gordon Brown do about dog's fouling, unless it is his OWN dog. Some things are upto the individual, not the PM. Did Gordon Brown personally daub graffiti on the bus stop?

The PM is PM for us all. Majorities are unimportant in British politics. No government has been elected with a majority of votes cast this side of WW2. Climate change is important to the public and to party members.

We don't need a country of 60 million prime ministers. He has the job, now we want him to make decisions and take a lead.

Hearing the latest on climate change from the Government experts who are now blaming cattle for global warming I think the chances are between nil and zero of a politician actually listening.

What had me rolling was the vision of some bespectacled geek with a leak proof bag walking behind a cow for 24 hours waiting for it to fart and measuring it. And how the hell they've managed to equate that to the emmissions from a large 4 wheel drive motor vehicle is absolutely mind boggling. But it must be right - BECAUSE THE EXPERTS SAY SO!!

The problem with polls like this is you have to look at exactly how the question was worded. They asked "if scientists were still questioning climate change" not is the effects of global warming on the climate not as bad as politicians and scientists claim.
A scientist could be questioning that climate change is worse than we think

When will people realise its all a scam to take our minds off
the terrible mess that politicians have created, the climate is
a natural phenomenon which the earth goes through.
millions of years ago Europe was tropical , and then came the ice age, global warming will happen whatever sanctions or increased taxes our illustrious Masters impose on us.
they would be respected if when elected they listened to the people,

But if Climate Change is a fact and we ignore it, we will all be swimming in the dog poo before long.

They only listen in the run up to an election or sometimes if they are in opposition. Where have you been?
