I think a street lamp would be a much more interesting life, lots of stuff goes on and I would see them, when they thought no one was watching. Muahahaahahah! Plus I get all seasons, and get to see people as they really are, hurrying, strolling, happy, worried. You get to see life!

Lilly Marlene. I'd definitely be a street lamp. A lamp shade only casts diffuse shadows from within the room onto the window shade for curious passers by with prurient interests. A street lamp is frank and bold, showing up life that otherwise would be in the shadows.
Have you ever seen someone at a party who's had a bit too much wear a lampshade on their head?

I'd rather be a lamp shade because I would hide whats in the darkness and to bring light to the unknown so that i could see what it is. I would be inside not left outside in the cold, I be in a home not left out in the street. I would be useful and help others to see but not let them be overwhelmed by the light. I have all different styles and yet i remain the same. I'm not just plain, skinny and straight, i'm more curvy. I am a part of a home and are closer to the people that live their.

I would rather be a Lamp Shade, because I would be much safer, than in a Street Lamp.

The lamp. The shade subdues the lamp light. Isn't there something about--don't hide your light under a basket? From a literal point of view, I prefer soft lighting WITHOUT shades. In some ways, this makes me think of wearing a hat, instead of feeling the wind in your hair.

I would rather be a Street-Lamp....Shining Bright,.. for Everyone to see,and to Shine Light on the Path for anyone walking in the Darkness.
If I were a Lamp-Shade, then my Light would be Dim,and the Light of the Path... would not Shine as Bright,...for People to see... in the Darkness....
