And these are just a FEW examples of what has been happening in 2007. Will we ever wake up? What message are we sending to future leaders if no one demands accountability?

For Aldo; more details? Fine. (Though I wish you'd read what is available.)

Bush Misled America about the Threat from Iraq.
If Saddam Hussein was an immediate and serious threat to America, as the White House claimed, then Bush might have been justified in invading Iraq. But it appears that Bush misled the public, the Congress and the UN by consistently overstating the threat from Iraq. By lying to Congress, Bush violated US Laws related to Fraud and False Statements, Title 18, Chapter 47, Section 1001 and Conspiracy to Defraud the United States, Title 18, Chapter 19, Section 371.

Great question with really great sites. I bookmarked them all. I heard David Griffin speaking on the radio yesterday and he was very very convincing. He teaches at my alma mater in the field of Religious Studies and Process theology in particular. He's an amazing intellect and well worth reading and listening to.
I actually wrote Nancy Pelosi today asked that she bring impeachment back to the table. We should all be writting her about this matter. Cindy Sheehan is going to run against her in her district in California if she doesn't go after Cheney and Bush.

Impeachment is like a trial -- you do it when there is clear evidence of criminal activity.

In Bush's case, not only have the federal courts confirmed he's broken numerous federal laws (including several Supreme Court rulings), but he's publicly admitted breaking the law.

So, the only question is whether it is worth the political hassle. But given that there is no way 2/3 of the Senate would vote to convict, regardless of how much evidence there is, there is no point in the house filing the Bill of Impeachment.

I don't like bush very much, but I think that the harm caused by impeaching him would exceed any good it would do. I do think that the Republican leadership should come down hard on him, because he is severely hurting their chances for re-election in 2008.
