Try Mai-Otome - same characters as Mai-Hime but in a different world and alternate reality.
Busou Renkin - same guy that did Rurouni Kenshin
Black Lagoon - modern age pirates. Tons of action and always something explodes.
Lucky Star - similar to Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya but it has its own appeal.

Eureka Seven is my favorite anime (and show in general) of all time. It's 51 or 52 episodes with only one filler, and it's good enough that I bawl through the last few episodes every single time I watch it. I've been watching Blood + on Adult Swim, and I'm kinda getting into that one, too. If you like scary stuff, Death Note is really good, but I stopped watching it because the main characters creeped me out too much.
