The Wizard of Oz...we did not have cable or a tape player (there was not a such thing as DVD's way back in the 80's) and that movie would come on every year. It was one of those things that we did together as a family...planned for it, watched the tv guide to see when it was going to be on...popped popcorn and spent the time together.

Probably the Wizard of Oz
I watched Sounder and The Yearling a lot too.
Not sure, as a full-time film professor, I can barely remember all the movies I watched as a child. I spend pretty much 85% of everyday in front of a television.
I do remember when the first STAR WARS movie came out in theaters in 1976. That was pretty amazing too...not sure, all movies are good, enjoy everything you watch.

So many to choose from...some of my favorites are The Goonies, Teen Witch, The Neverending Story, ET, Stand by Me, My Girl, any Disney movie....and...ummm...my mind went blank!!! lol

dont tell the mom the baby sitters dead, I love when the old hag dies and a kid said lets cut her in half, melissa was cool in that I cant believe when her mom went to go somewhere she didnt take melissa to baseball. My other favorite was the goonies that wied cyclopse thing was wierd it always wanted candy bars, the chinese kid was cool he invented alot of stuff, when they found the treasure was cool 2, I think the other one was toys vs. puppets or the other way around ,it was so cool, the toys got the people that worked there and killed them and the puppets try to save the people against the toys
