I shave my bikini area but leave most of the top and the lips--I only shave what shows when you wear a bikini. The other day my bf went down on me--and the next morning he told me that I should shave my vagina---I said "I liek it like this..besides it's not like i'm hairy, i keep it clean and trimmed and shaved around" and he says he wants it all to be shaved because it hurts his mouth! I really don't wnat to shave all of it, it is annoying, I hate the itch and the bumps too much upkeep. So my question is, is this the norm now? Is this what guys expect of women these days?

I would not do it. Seems like he cares more about that than you and that is never a good thing. Let him go before things get more rough.

Dear ThomasMultorn, Well it seems like you really don't want to do it, so if you are not willing to experiment then don't do it and draw the line. On the other hand it is just a shave and no one else is gonna see it so I think you can experiment, if you draw the line then the next thing you'll say it is that you won't use a dildo or do role playing, etc. Then I'd say go for it once, if you like it and if he ask you to do it again you would do it or say that you don't like it because bla bla bla bla. The worst thing that can happen later is that the area is gonna get itchy and uncomfortable some days after shaving when the new hair comes out...

Yeah... thats normal now... Most guys either like nothing at all or the strip... Have you every went down on a guy that shaved... it hurts so i know where he is coming from... but do what you want... its your body... but i shave all of it.. and it isnt as bad as you think... it feels a lot different but not in a bad way... and your boyfriend will get turned on so bad... after i shaved mind when my guy went down on me it was alot better... but you can try it once and if you dont like it.. remember its hair.. it will grow back...

My husband told me the same thing recently, so I decided to shave it all off. It really wasn't that big a deal to me, and it made him very happy. Some guys find it sexier, and I think it kind of gets in the way a little bit for them when they go down on a girl.

It's pretty normal for a guy to want you to do this but in saying that don't do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. It's your body!
On the other hand you could try it and if you don't like it let it re-grow and then everyone's happy

If you don't want to shave, tell him so. He won't be the one dealing with the ingrown hairs and itching.
It shouldn't matter what guys expect now a-days. They should just be thankful they get any to begin with.
