heres some of their own words I guess that is up to the eye of the beholder.

Osama bin Laden issued this warning to the United States regarding the war in Iraq . He said,
``I would like to tell you that the war is for you or for us to win. If we win, it means your defeat and disgrace forever.''

The letter from al Qaeda's number two leader, Zawahari, to the late al Zarqawi outlining the Islamic Caliphate that would
stretch from Indonesia across the Middle East and Africa is instructive. In that letter, Zawahari outlines a four-stage plan
to create this religious empire.

Stage one. ``Expel the Americans from Iraq .'' Expel them in defeat.

Stage two is to create an Islamic religious government in the old Mesopotamia, that is, Iraq , developing it and supporting it
``until it achieves the level of a Caliphate,'' until it fills the void stemming from the departure of the Americans.

Step three is to extend the jihad way to secular countries neighboring Iraq . The jihadists will attack heretic Muslims,
as they define them.

And stage four is the clash with Israel, because Israel was established only to challenge any new Islamic entity.

al-Zawahiri, in December 2006, made it quite clear where al Qaeda stands.
In a video posted on jihadist Web sites, al-Zawahiri sent a clear message: ``The backing of Jihad in Afghanistan and
Iraq today is to back the most important battlefields in which the crusade against Islam and Muslims is in progress.
And the defeat of the Crusaders there, soon, Allah permitting, will have a far-reaching effect on the future of the
Muslim Ummah, Allah willing.''

Osama bin Laden words of a failure of America will be that much closer to reality. As he has said in a 2006 audiotape: ``The epicenter of these wars is Baghdad,
the seat of the caliphate rule.'' They keep reiterating that ``success in Baghdad will be success for the United States, failure in
Iraq the failure of the U.S. Their defeat in Iraq will mean defeat in all their wars and a beginning to the receding of their
Zionist crusader tide against us.''

A leader of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad recently said of an American withdrawal from Iraq ,
``There is no chance that the resistance will stop.'' He said an American withdrawal from Iraq would
``prove that resistance is the most important tool and that this tool works. The victory of the Iraqi revolution
will mark an important step in the history of the region and in the attitude regarding the United States.''

Bin Laden said, ``When tens of your soldiers were killed in minor battles and one American pilot was dragged
in the streets of Mogadishu, you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you.
The extent of your impotence and your weakness became very clear.''

The bipartisan Iraq Study Group reported Ayman al-Zawahiri, deputy to Osama bin Laden, has declared Iraq a focus
for al Qaeda. That declaration is more than words

Moqtada al Sadr June 11, 2004. He said, ``If we keep attacking Americans, they will leave Iraq
the same way they left Vietnam, the same way they left Lebanon, the same way they left Mogadishu.''

Where does he get this from? Well, he gets part of it from General Jeaps' book in Vietnam,
the successful general there. They understand, as I heard to my own shock and sorrow, a World War II
veteran said to me on one of the days we were honoring him, We haven't really won a war since World War II.

Ayman al Zawahiri a well-known jihadi leader: ``It is a jihad for the sake of God and will last until our
religion prevails.'' Not until we abandon Iraq , but until their religion prevails.

``The entire world is an open battlefield for us,'' he goes on to say. ``We will attack everywhere until Islam reigns.''
Ayman al Zawahiri does not say we will attack until the war in Iraq ends, we will attack until Americans pull out of Baghdad,
we will attack until they are no longer in the nation of Iraq . He says, ``We will attack everywhere until Islam reigns.''

Osama bin Laden: ``Hostility toward America is a religious duty, and we hope to be rewarded for it by
God ..... I am confident that Muslims will be able to end the legend of the so-called superpower that is America.''

Osama bin Laden, ``The issue is big and the misfortune is momentous. The most important and
serious issue today for the whole world is this third world war . I say to you that the war will be won either by us
or by you. If it's the former, loss and disgrace will be your lot for all eternity, and, Allah be praised, this is the way
the wind is blowing. If it is the latter, you should read the history books. We are a nation that does not remain silent
over injustice, and we will seek blood vengeance all lifelong. Not many days and nights will pass before we take blood
vengeance, like we did on 9/11,'' .

Our enemies have stated that they believe that Western Civilization is rotten to the core. Unless we get out of the
Middle East entirely and convert to Islam, we will always be their enemy. In chapter 2 of the 9/11 report, the authors answer
what the terrorists want from America:

``To the second question, what America could do, al Qaeda's answer was that America should abandon the Middle East,
convert to Islam, and end the immorality and godlessness of its society and culture.''

Osama bin Laden's chief deputy has urged al Qaeda operatives in Iraq to expel the Americans, extend the ``jihad wave''
to neighboring countries, and 2 weeks ago he spoke of Afghanistan and Iraq as two ``most crucial fields.''

Osama bin Laden has called acquiring nuclear weapons a ``religious duty.''

Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's chief deputy, considers their efforts in Iraq to be ``crucial'' towards furthering
al Qaeda objectives in the region. Thus, these groups are aggressively pursuing terrorism within the borders of that
country, commiting acts of violence against Shias, Kurds and anyone else who dares to disagree with them.

Muhammad Saadi, a senior leader of the Islamic jihad, who said that talk of withdrawal from Iraq makes him feel
``proud.'' He said: ``As Arabs and Muslims we feel proud, very proud from the great successes of the Iraqi resistance,
this success that brought the big superpower of the world to discuss a possible withdrawal.''

In Osama bin Ladens 1996 Declaration of Jihad and other statements that he made, he repeatedly pointed to America's weakness being
its low threshold for pain. As evidence, bin Laden pointed to the U.S. withdrawal from Somalia in 1993 because of casualties
from the attacks of al Qaeda and its allies. Bin Laden said of our retreat from Mogadishu, ``The extent of your impotence
and weakness became very clear.''

He said, ``The jihad in Palestine,'' referring to the attacks against Israel, ``and in Iraq is a personal duty incumbent
upon the residents of the two countries alone. But if they are unable to carry it out, this duty is incumbent upon the
residents of the adjacent countries, and so on and so forth, until the circle includes all the Muslim countries.''

al Qaeda leader al-Zawahiri said in December of last year just a few months ago, ``Iraq , Allah
permitting, is the gateway to the liberation of Palestine and the restoration of the Islamic caliphate.''

Osama bin Laden's deputy, al-Zawahiri, made clear shortly after 9/11 in his book ``Knights Under the Prophet's Banner,''
al Qaeda's most important short-term strategic goal is to seize control of a state, or part of a state, somewhere in the Muslim
world. He wrote, quote, ``Confronting the enemies of Islam and launching jihad against them require a Muslim authority
established on Muslim land. Without achieving this, our actions will mean nothing.''

Bin Laden : ``The whole world is watching this war and the two adversaries. It is either
victory and glory or misery and humiliation.''

Osama bin Laden, ``The most important and serious issue today for the world is this Third World War
..... It is raging in the land of the two rivers, Iraq . The world's millstone and pillar is in Baghdad, the capital of the caliphate.''

Jordan's King Abdullah, a courageous leader who continues to demonstrate his country's and his people's
commitment to peace, to security, and to democratic reform, summarized the situation we are facing in the following way.
He said, ``My concern is political, revolving around Iran, around Iran's political involvement inside Iraq , its relation with
Syria and Hezbollah, and the strengthening of this political strategic alliance. This would create a scenario where you have
these four: Iran, Iraq , influenced by Iraq , Syria, and Hezbollah, who have a strategic objective that would create a major conflict.
Our argument to the United States,'' he continues, ``is that a capable, independent, secure Iraq is the best way of containing Iran.
The Iranians realize that the way to have success against the West is by them succeeding in Iraq . So Iraq is the battleground
of the West against Iran.''

Al Qaeda's al-Zawahiri said: ``The jihad movement is growing and rising. It reached its peak with the two blessed raids on
New York and Washington. And now it is waging a great heroic battle in Iraq , Afghanistan, Palestine, and even the crusaders'
own homes.''

Al-Manar said on BBC: ``Let the entire world hear me. Our hostility to the Great Satan, America, is absolute. Regardless
of how the world has changed after September 11, death to America will remain our reverberating and powerful slogan: Death to America.''

Al-Zarqawi said of America's leaders: ``They are aware that if the Islamic giant wakes up, it will not be satisfied with less
than the gates of Rome, Washington, Paris, and London.''

Al-Muhajir, Osama bin Laden's latest lieutenant in Iraq , said: ``The fire has not and will not be put out and our swords,
which have been colored with your blood, are thirsty for more of your rotting heads.''

Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, said, ``We have discovered how to hit the Jews where they are
most vulnerable. The Jews love life; so that is what we shall take away from them. We are going to win because they
love life and we love death.''

Brink Lindsey has put it all so succinctly. He said, ``Here is the grim truth: We are only one act of madness away from a
social cataclysm unlike anything our country has ever known. After a handful of such acts, who knows what kind of civilization
breakdown might be in store?''

Osama bin Laden ``Hostility toward America is a religious duty, and we hope to be rewarded for it by
God ..... I am confident that Muslims will be able to end the legend of the so-called superpower that is America.''

Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman said, ``Oh, you Muslims everywhere, sever the ties of their Nation, tear them apart,
ruin their economy, instigate against their corporations, destroy their embassies, attack their interests, sink their
ships, and shoot down their airplanes. Kill them in land, at sea, and in the air, kill them wherever you find them.''

Iran's Ahmadinejad when he said in January of this year, ``We must prepare ourselves to rule the world.''

This follows statements made in October of 2005 when Ahmadinejad said, ``Undoubtedly, I say that we will soon
experience a world without the United States and will breathe in the brilliant time of Islamic sovereignty over today's world.''

It is echoed by other Iranian leaders who have threatened the U.S. and moderate Arab governments who say that,
``Anyone who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nations. They will burn in their fury,'' and who
have expressed their commitment to bringing America to its knees.

Let us not forget that Iran's proxy, Hezbollah, twice attacked in our own hemisphere, in Argentina, in the mid-1990s.
Let us not forget that in 2002 a court case in the United States found that one of two men were convicted of financing
Hezbollah of $2 million in illegal activity here in the United States and that last year an individual from Detroit was charged
with supporting Hezbollah financially and was described by the United States Attorney in the case as a ``fighter, recruiter
and a fundraiser.''

Venezuela's strongman Hugo Chavez is openly forming an alliance with Iran, and recently called on Iran and Venezuela
to join forces to ``finish off the U.S. empire,'' quoting him.

Many fanatics see a conflict as being won if the other side is destroyed, even if they are also mostly destroyed. That would fall within the "last man standing" arena.

Not being a religious fanatic, Islamic or otherwise, I can't say exactly how they view things. And given how many different groups and sects exist, it's very likely that how they view things varies quite a bit from one group to another.

umm Jihad(the true one) and war on terror are two different things! And secondly those extremist have used this term in a veyr wrong way..Jihad is not what they are fighting i.e killing the innocents. and rest..that is called violence and actualy a "sin" in islam...They are just taking a cover of Jihad..! just giving a small example..if you are going abroad for studying lets say for medical studies..You are actualy doing Jihad...likewise when a person take care of his old parents is doing jihad . to defend your place from evils by "actualy" fighting the evils is jihad .anyways..jihad is a long thing to explain

for those extremist i would say they are not fighitng jihad rather they are making the religion an excuse for their evil acts and i can say so becuase i am a muslim and know my religion very well !

Picture Edge and Cena, if you'll. They each grasp a weapon of a few variety, let's assume a metal chair. Nice and useful. Anyways, they each manipulate to damage each and every different with each and every different's respective chair, and they're flat on their backs. The referee will get to the depend of 10 and neither Cena or Edge have got to their ft. Ta-da! You have your self an overly infrequent and anticlimactic finishing to a Last Man Standing fit.

Yep, because when the "infidels" are gone, they will turn on each other.

EDIT:

Example: Look how al Qaeda just turned on Pakistan, because Musharraf had the sense and enough of a brass set to destroy a terrorist cell holed up in a radical mosque.

Democrats from Boston to LA are salivating over the prospects of regaining the White House, and retaining control of Congress in 2008. Radical Islamic terrorists - from the secret cells in the U.S., to the secret camps on the Pakistani border - are salivating over the prospects of the Democrats regaining control of the White House, and retaining control of Congress in 2008.

Democrats have declared that Iraq will be abandoned to whichever radical Islamic terrorist group has the most fire power and the least respect for human life. None of the Democratic candidates have even addressed the consequences of their declared surrender. Neither has the Democratic leadership in Congress.

Forget about an Iraqi Constitution, and resource sharing, and representative government, in which America has invested billions of dollars and thousands of lives. Welcome instead, another pre-war Afghanistan, where terrorists tell residents what to wear, what to think, and where to direct their next suicide bomb attack. Welcome instead an unchallenged Iran where nuclear material continues to evolve into the weapon of choice for the terrorists in training in Iraq. Welcome instead an unchallenged Syria where radical Islamic terrorists continue to build their armies against Israel. Welcome instead an emboldened and strengthened radical Islamic leadership in Gaza that has consistently vowed to drive Israel into the sea.

Democrats consider the war against terror to be - as Democratic candidate John Edwards says - a "bumper-sticker" slogan the administration uses to frighten people into accepting its policies.

The radical Islamic terrorists are even more eager than Howard Dean, to see a Clinton-Obama White House, and a Reid-Pelosi Congress.

Democrats, and the anti-war army that pushes them, seem to suffer from the illusion that once the U.S. withdraws from Iraq, and leave Muslims alone, they will return to their peaceful ways and leave Americans and other Westerners alone. In fact, Democrats are betting on it. Moreover, they are betting our future, and our children's future on it.

This ostrich-like view of the world ignores history, the declared war on the United States in particular, and on non-Muslims in general.

For most of the last century, a small, determined group of radical Muslims have been working to create a Muslim-dominated world. They have not been quiet about their goals, which have been laughed off by the likes of John Edwards, and his cronies. In the last generation, however, these radical Muslims have elevated terrorism into an art form that has made the mighty cower.

On October 23, 1983, Islamic terrorists crashed a truck into Marine Barracks in Lebanon, and destroyed a four-story building, 220 marines, and 21 other people. Why were Americans in Lebanon in the first place? They were there to try to keep the peace; to prevent the radical Islamists from taking over the government by force. Sadly, America decided that freedom for another country was not worth investing American lives.

America delivered the same message every time the terrorists challenged. With each attack, the terrorists got bolder and stronger, and finally, they really got our attention on September 11, 2001. For a moment or two, America bristled, and displayed the character that won our independence, and freedom for Europe and freedom from Japanese Imperialism in the Second World War. But it didn't last long.

Anti-war types were organizing before the first soldier left for Afghanistan. Aided by a grossly Democratic media, the no-war-at-any-cost crowd were being spotlighted, while every casualty and cost of pursuing the terrorists was amplified. They have succeeded in convincing a majority of Americans that the terrorists would not be terrorists - if the U.S. would simply leave them alone.

Osama knows that if Obama or Hillary, or both, are in the White House, he and his followers will be free to pursue their jihad, as quietly, or as explosively, as may be required, without fear that America will interfere. It is a good strategy.

The jihad will likely continue first, in the Middle East and Europe, gaining ground and strength before confronting America again. The Democrats will crow about how their foreign policy has "saved" the U.S. from further attacks - while the rest of the world slides deeper under radical Islamic rule.

In time, when Iran has perfected its nuclear capabilities, and the radical Islamic terrorists have constructed their world-wide network, and a single nuclear device has been exploded in the U.S., the no-war-at-any-cost crowd - the Democrats in control of the White House and the Congress - will be happy to welcome burkas for women, and prayer mats for men - and hell for the non-compliant.

I believe they are terrified of being forcibly changed by an illegal invasion. If we left them alone, they'd probably leave us alone. We can't spread "Democracy" kicking and screaming into the 21st century. We have to show by example. Torturing them will not help anyone and only has created more of them ready to literally give their life for their God by blowing themselves up. If we acknowledged their right to exist and live as they please, not "our way". I think they'd leave us alone, but it may be too late. I hope not.
