the shoes are made and look great. the problem is the inside (liner part--- in grown up sneakers you can remove this part and wash it and put it back in). The liner fits into the shoe, and all but how do we secure it down. Sewing isint what we are looking for. but DOSE ANY BODY HAVE ANYIDEAS ON HOW ELSE TO KEEP THESE SECURE? thanks

Could you trace the foot that would go inside and use that as a pattern?

I live in an area where there used to be lots of shoe factories (before overseas sweatshops and shoppers who demand the cheapest price) and they always used a high-post sewing machine.

I don't think there are any freebies because when you get to that level, you need to pay for training or invent your own.

here is a book she could adapt to kids' shoes http://www.amazon.com/Make-Doll-Shoes-Workbook-I/dp/0875883354
and some patterns to buy

http://www.craftster.org/forum/ The craftster forum has a board devoted to making shoes. You can try asking there and someone might be able to help you. I think a similar question was asked a couple weeks ago. Here's the shoe board: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=242.0
