Since all the terms are positive, you're looking at something of the form:
(x + a)(2x + b)
where a*b = 6
and 2a + b = 8

You can calculate this out, but I just used trial and error to figure out that a=3 and b=2.

The factored equation is (x+3)(2x+2).
Factoring out a 2 from the second parentheses, that turns into 2*(x+3)(x+1).

Hope that helps!

2x^2 +8x+6
x(2x+2) +6(x+1)
(2x+2)(x+3)
2(x+1)(x+3)

And there you go
