I've heard it was really gory, but I haven't seen it. Is it?
What kind of gore would you compare it to? Like "Hostel" kind of graphic, or "Saving Private Ryan" kind of graphic?

oh no! it was no where near the graphic content portrayed in Hostel or Saving Private Ryan. It was shot in a grainy almost black and white format. If you have seen "Sin City" from a visual standpoint it was very similar, due to them being shot in the same Frank Miller - esque style.

It certainly isn't "Saving Private Ryan" gory. I call it "Lord of the Rings" graphic. Most of it happens too fast to really be disturbing, but there are moments that are pretty intense. I say if you can handle the movie "Sin City" (which was made by many of the same people), you can handle 300.

300's gore is different than Hostel's or Saving Private Ryan's. It's really cartoony since it wants to appear to be a graphic novel, so there's spurts of really fake looking cg blood and a few heads rolling but nothing that'll phase a kid who's played a little Grand Theft Auto.

I was okay to me, not that gory, but really violent (every other scene). Just a bunch of slice n dice and impalements. The above movies were more gory than 300. It's kinda cool that it's a true story though.

300 was a little graphic but you have to keep the time period in mind. However, I usually have a weak stomach but it wasn't enough to bother me. Believe me, the half naked, toned male bodies will take your mind off of the gore! And its a great movie with a great story line.

On a scale of 0-10, it's like 7 or 8. A lot of blood, but most of it's not red.

No, I don't think so. Some of the monsters might have been enhanced a bit, but for the most the part they only used CG for the backgrounds.

It was relatively tame in the gore category.
Violent...yes.
Nudity...YES!
LOTS AND LOTS OF GORE AND BLOOD...no.
Probably comparable to the amount of 'gore' in saving private ryan...maybe not quite as bad.

300 was not a gory movie if you want to see some gory stuff you aren't wathcing the right movie.... although it was a great movie i saw it when it came out

lol no its nothing compared to "Hostel" its not thatgraphic a couple seens are but its a great movie and a good history lesson.
