Well - lets see - conspiracy requires that multiple people are involved in a cover up - theorist are those that try to expose that conspiracy

By definition - there would need to be evidence to show the conspiracy exist - so yes - there must be some proof

There is no way to prove or disprove the existence of God - so there cant not be a conspiracy about God himself - so that part is out of the question.

Now whether people created God or the other way around might cause thought for conspiracy. Are people conspiring by using God - hmmmm - thats a different story - there might be some proof in that - so God wouldnt be the conspiracy but the church might be

Does the church hide behide things conspiritorily - hmmm - catholic priests that are pediphiles? Your soul in the after life? Churches influence over government? Yeah - church as a conspiracy might exist.

I'm no longer definite you already know what you are honestly speakme approximately I keep in mind myself a naturalist as it's not that i am a non believer however a believer of ordinary decision, evolution and so forth. I disagree with faith because it most likely leads and is used for fascist theocracy. Religion as been the motive of many a struggle, is guilty for plenty of sexism and homophobia and likewise is the motive of plenty of instances of racism. Kennedy used to be in most cases assassinated by means of Feds. We did not land at the moon. nine/eleven Could were an within activity and there are plenty of features to again this up. The struggle used to be deliberate earlier by means of the PNAC and used to be no longer thoroughly (up to i hate to mention it) right down to George Bush but in addition Dick Cheney, and Cheney extra so if something. And if i used to be historical ample and an American i could, sure have voted Obama to be certain a few devout redneck bigot wasn't elected. SOME folks do have feel. Just in view that now we have feel do not provide atheists a foul identify.

If you throw out the Bible and the recorded writings and archaeological evidence that supports Christianity, you have to throw out all historical evidence that supports anything about anything ancient, because Biblical historical evidence exists today in far greater number than any other ancient writings.

(No more Homer, no more Gilgamesh, No more Plato, no more Pompeii, Aristotle, Ceasar, Romans, Greeks, Egyptians...no more Ancient Babylon, Sumeria, Persia, Mesopotamia, no more Palestine, Israel...Jerusalem is the city spoken of most in the Bible, and is the focus of the world still today, not surprising considering Biblical testimony to the importance of this place.)

When just looking at the New Testament writings that record the events of Christ's teachings and His life and crucifiction they far outnumber any other historical documents...by over 20,000 documents. This doesn't even include the Old Testament history...The Torah and the Talmud.

The second largest number was not even a thousand copies...Homer's Illiad.

Since everything we "know" about history is gleaned from the writings of those who witnessed the events and times, in surviving scrolls, documents, what have you...it is not only unreasonable but illogical and irrational to disregard evidence in such an overwhelming abundance simply because it records events surrounding God/Jesus Christ.

It's foolish and ignorant to do so simply because one desires to believe that there is no God, or cannot fathom the miraculous.

You want to talk about conspiracy theories, Darwin really has this one in the bag. He actually has adult humans believing that they are descendants of apes (or some other such thing). Oh, and these theorists have even gone as far as saying; "human ancestors bred with chimpanzee ancestors long after they had initially separated into two species."

How can anyone, with an ounce of intelligence even entertain such a gross and twisted idea?

What I find hilarious is that the official explanations of things often violate the laws of physics.

For example. JFK's head when he is shot slams the wrong direction to have been shot from the direction of the book depository. Also don't forget about the magic bullet changing directions multiple times.

But hey It's perfectly ok to believe that some supreme being popped out of nowhere got bored and created everything rather than evolving gradually over eons.

hmmm lets see, big bang creates a plannet with just enough everything for its inhabitants to survive and multiply...

lets just look at the human ear, human eye, etc... how about the reproduction organs creating a baby.... yeah your right its all theory... what a load...

Sorry but if you dont see that God and His creation are all around you, then your missing something great...

you dont need something called religion, what you need is a relationship with God... All that God asks is that you believe in Him and believe that he sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for you and your sins, and to be raised again... I for one believe in Christ and what He has done for me... if you are saying its a theory and doesnt make any sense, i say what am I losing by putting my faith in a God who reaches down to me... if Im wrong then guess I go back into the ground and start over again, but if your wrong, man eternity is a long time...

hope you fill that void you have inside --

i'm not going to debate substance with bible thumpers, but your question illustrates a great disparity particularly with the christian right (as should come to no surprise to anyone).

Sure, Loose Change points out literally dozens of conflicts and simple physics impossibilities, yet the government's explanation of what happened is ok with these same people (amazingly), verbatim.

kind of underlines the type of mentality these people subscribe to, doesn't it?

Yes, it's true.

But the counter-argument is that in most conspiracy theories, there is a more likely explanation for the events.

For most (most!) things relating to religion, there is no more likely alternative.

Yeah its more reasonable that we popped out of no where, and evolved from little specks into millions of completely different alive creatures and living things, starting from a rock, or gases, or an atom.

Well there's no proof that an omnipotent god exists, nor is there proof that one doesn't. That doesn't really make it a conspiracy.
