If you are talking presidencies, Jefferson served from 1801-1809 and Lincoln from 1861-1865. So the difference from when Jefferson left to when Lincoln entered was 52 years.

Well, if you want to get an approximation, Jefferson was one of the founders of the United States, and was one of the earliest Presidents, right? So, he'd be President somewhere around 1790 or so. Lincoln was elected in 1860, which triggered off the Civil War.
