I even have 2. the 1st is 'Grizzly', a 1976 scene-via-scene rip off of 'Jaws'. as a replace of a sizeable white shark, 'Grizzly' featured a nationwide park terrorized via a grizzly undergo. the place 'Jaws' replaced into hunted via a police chief, an oceanographer and a grizzled WWII veteran fisherman, 'Grizzly' replaced into hunted via a wooded area ranger, a naturalist and a grizzled Vietnam veteran helicopter pilot. basically as a results of fact the shark sank the boat, the undergo takes down the helicopter. (do no longer question me how.) The shark would desire to purely be killed via blowing it up, the undergo had to be killed with a rocket launcher as a results of fact each reliable hunter understands the only thank you to kill a grizzly is with protection stress weapons able to combating a tank. the 2d is 'night of the Lepus' from 1972. it is a ecological horror action picture telling the hazards of contaminating the Arizona soil. for this reason, the chemical compounds led to the rabbit inhabitants to advance to sizeable sized monsters. the project is that vast rabbits are no longer frightening. those weren't wild jackrabbits, they have been the fluffy Easter bunny rabbits. think of if King Kong replaced right into a hamster as a replace of an ape and you get the assumption. They filmed definitely bunny rabbits hopping around what looks like a Lionel practice set stepping on warm Wheels vehicles. the only way this could be funnier is that in the event that they used sizeable kittens. those videos are great accidental comedy.

La Haine (Hate) is a movie from France I think is really great. The flick shows us a side of France we've never seen, it's a portrait of the ghetto neighbourhoods and their war with the French police. Filled with the influence of Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, and Richard Linklater it follows around three friends trying to get out of the 'hood before it's too late. La Haine is directed by Matthieu Kassovitz.

Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade. It's anime, but not the mass-produced crap that you see on TV; this is high quality cel-animation (like Akira, another gem). It has a good story to go with it, and was seriously considered for an Academy Award.

What I like about it is its story, set in an alternate history where Nazi Germany defeated Japan in WWII and occupied it, creating a different Western government then the one there now. The vehicles and weapons are from the WWII period, so that makes it even more interesting.
