I think the most typical sign of a serious addiction is a lowering of standards. An addict, unlike someone else, MUST satiate his addiction sooner or later, and the longer it takes the lower he is generally willing to sink to do so.
Suppose, for example I was addicted to seeing movies. A lot of people might have trouble differentiating me from someone who just liked movies. The difference arises if no movies are showing that I like... as an addict, I'll see one anyway (why? who knows. addition isn't reasonable). Likewise, if you didn't have enough money to see a movie, most people would just wait until they did. An addict, on the other hand, would probably start cutting into other activities ("I don't need lunch tomorrow... I'll just save some popcorn"). Some addicts end up satiating their cravings more and more, so as a movie addict I might end up feeling I MUST catch all the premiers, even if it meant skipping work or staying up late. Some do not, though... but even if you only feel compelled to see a movie once a month, it can still be an addiction.
We hear extreme cases in the news, of people so addicted to drugs that they blow their rent money or steal from their friends and relatives, or so addicted to a videogame that they neglect their children or play for three straight days without sleep. Non-addicts maintain a sense of priority - they realize that fun is fun, but you still have responsibilities.
Sometimes really the only way to tell the difference is just to stop. Presumably no matter how fun something is, there are other fun things that can take its place. An addiction, on the other hand, is not so easily replaced... and an addict trying to stop might find himself making excuses why 'just one' exception would be okay, or find himself engaging in his addictive behaviour even though he doesn't want to.

Fun is something that you can do, and not always want to do it 24/7. When you are addicted to doing something you just can't stop doing it, it's like you mentally, and or physically need to do something.
See? That's the difference between fun and addicting. I mean I have fun on rides at a theme park not to far from here that I would love to go to and ride a ride that was really fun. But I don't need to ride it all day long. Recently, 4th of July, I like to let off fireworks, but I dont think I need to do it everyday.
It's all about mentality.

Is there a similarity!?
Fun is something that is amusing and enjoyable. Addiction is something you can't stop yourself from doing. Something can be addictive and not be fun. Something can be fun and not be addictive. Although in some rare cases something fun might be addictive, they really are completely different concepts.

an addiction has negative psychological and physiological effects when you do not experience it on a regular basis.
I enjoy an amusement park, but I am not addicted to it.
I do suffer from an addiction to overeating. I'm not fat (yet) but I do eat in order to pass the time, derive pleasure, and prevent depression. And when I don't eat enough, I become moody.
These are just examples.

great question madhavi:) you already know however those words sound synonimous yet nevertheless there lies a "deep" difference !! Happiness might nicely be chanced on of issues which won't additionally be useful to our religious or psychological factor like we'd go out & have our sought after dish & outfits etc., we'd experience chuffed. yet delight comes from a form of achievent, if we get sturdy grades in examine we'd get a great feeling that publicizes "problematical observe paid off" now thats greater useful isn't it ;p[ Now peace.... i think of it relies upon on what ideas-set we undertake towads the "activities" we do for "happiness" or the two "delight", peace truthfully exist in our self, it basically must be chanced on by utilising us. a guy or woman of lack of information might experience peace mutually as a problematical worker ought to be strresed. that's even oposite to that . So peace needs to chanced on by utilising us.

"FUN" is something that you simply have fun doing. It becomes addictive when you NEED it or just don't know when to turn it off or you neglect other things in order to do it.
