Forgiveness depends on the infraction. Some things deserve forgiveness because they are the type of mistakes that we easily make, or may be the result of ignorance or lack of experience. Some violations do not deserve forgiveness.

How can you tell when they do? That is the rub. Perhaps it may depend on how much damage or pain the person in question knew they were inflicting, or how willing they are to do it again.

If someone knew the consequences and still made a deliberate decision to hurt you, or is willing to do it again, maybe they don't deserve forgiveness. Whereas someone mat deserve forgiveness if they only sought to benefit themselves and didn't think others would be hurt, or if they learned a lesson about a mistake that they will not do again.

Whatever the criteria, do not feel guilty about not bestowing forgiveness. It is a myth that you must. Some people just don't deserve it.

Most of the time, yes. But recently, I learned a new level of forgiveness as I work through many past cruelties. I'm gaining understanding and forgiving my abusers… Not for their sake, but for mine!

I cannot say that I've forgiven them all… yet. But I am working on it.

MOST of the time, yes. But there have been times when I struggled a lot with forgiving someone. For a couple of situations, it's still a struggle for me. But I will conquer that struggle. I'm stubborn like that. ;o)

Yes, way too easily if you ask me. I need to stay angry at the universe in order to implement my master plan.

I am the King, I will destroy the world in a fit of uncontainable rage as my creation is blemished beyond repair by this blight you call Man.

depends what the situation is because like I obvioulsy wouldn't forgive someone for killing my mom(just an example) or something, but if its something as small as not making it to a ceremony on time than yes I would forgive them

Yes I do. Usually I can't stay mad - takes too much energy. If you've done something to my family I might not be able to forgive that!

I can forgive but I never forget. It also depends on who and what it was or is.

If the person apologizes, then yes. And if they don't apologize, I forgive them anyway. And then I move on. Life's too short to get hung up on CRAP.
